Tasting Note; 2016 was not an easy year for Cabernet Sauvignon, but the 2016 Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Block 18 El Recurso seemed quite focused. They harvested 80% of the grapes before the rains of April 15 to 17 in search of freshness. It has 13.5% and was bottled after 14 months in barrel. It’s a more delicate style of Cabernet Sauvignon, with subtle spiciness and a medium-bodied palate with the fine-grained tannins of the variety and a clear Maipo Alto character, with the freshness of the year and the place. Very good, and remarkable for the difficult conditions of the year. 100,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in December 2017.
