Tasting note: There is a plethora of floral elements to be found on the fresh and distinctly cool nose of the essence of red berries and forest floor. There is better volume and density to the medium weight flavors that also exude evident minerality on the firm, and firmly austere, finale. This is very good for its level but not a wine that is likely to make for attractive early drinking.

Tasting note: This is at once earthier and more reserved with its combination of red and dark berries along with hints of game, underbrush and a forest floor character. There is a bit more volume to the dense and intense medium-bodied flavors that also exude evident minerality on the chiseled and wonderfully refreshing finish. The supporting tannins are noticeably firmer, and this is going to require at least some patience. Recommended as this too is an excellent villages.

Tasting note: Here the wood influence is a bit more evident though it stops short of masking the nuance of the spice and earth-inflected aromas of red currant, dark raspberry and forest floor. The rich, full-bodied and powerful flavors possess good verve and detail, all wrapped in a dusty, youthfully austere and sneaky long finish. This is a quality Gevrey villages.
