Hints of apple blossom and crushed oyster shells lend freshness to this creamy, mineral-laden Chardonnay. Finessed and bracing yet sumptuous in texture, its white grapefruit and pear flavors are rimmed by richer, warmer tones of almond and vanilla. This opulent yet classic expression of Puligny-Montrachet should hit peak from 2023 through 2035.

Tasting note: Notes of petrol, white flower and citrus possess background hints of honeysuckle and whiffs of the exotic. There is very good richness to the vibrant and stony middle weight flavors that offer fine persistence and a simply gorgeous mouthfeel before terminating in an impressively persistent finish that flashes very fine depth. This is an interesting wine in that there is solid power to it, yet the texture is almost delicate. Lovely stuff.

A very impressive array of peaches and lemons with wet stones and flinty, minerally notes, offering plenty of interest. The palate has a sleek and composed shape with a central focus of fresh, fleshy fruit and a succulent, long, acidity-fueled finish. (1/2019)
2016’ BH Score: 91 /Tasted: Jun 15, 2018/Drink: 2024+/Issue: 71/ Outstanding
Tasting note: There is a touch of olive oil on the ripe and mildly exotic nose that features notes of melon, pear, apple compote and plenty of floral wisps. I like the mouth feel of the solidly concentrated and tautly muscular flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the lengthy finish. I would note that there is a hint of acid tang though I suspect it will dissipate with a few years of bottle age and my rating assumes that will occur.
