Note: from a 1.5 ha holding
Tasting note: Here too the wood treatment is admirably discreet with its combination of markedly floral aromas that include carnation, acacia and lilac along with touch of spice white fleshed fruit. The wonderfully elegant, indeed almost delicate, middle weight flavors possess excellent punch and volume that carries over to the lightly mineral-suffused finish. This is lovely and I particularly like the balance which should permit it to age gracefully while adding depth.

Tasting note: A slightly riper nose is not quite as elegant but it’s even more complex and much more floral with its mix of pear, apple, passion fruit and spicy white peach. There is better mid-palate volume though not the same minerality suffusing the medium-bodied flavors that possess a highly refined texture, all wrapped in a beautifully long finale. This will also need time in bottle to develop better depth, but the potential appears to be present.
