很難得在-最普遍法定產區『Cote du Rhone』找到好酒- 而 『Coudoulet de Beaucastel』- 就是其少數裡面的【紅寶石】

Chateau de Beaucastel是教皇新堡產區中,不可不提的頂級名園,Robert Parker欽點的世界155偉大酒莊之一。

Coudoulet de Beaucastel,這個被稱為「Young Beaucastel」的酒園距離位於教皇新堡法定產區北端。葡萄園占地30公頃,位於Beaucastel莊園以東。Coudoulet葡萄園土壤的地質條件與Beaucastel莊園類似。

和Beaucastel莊園一樣,Coudoulet釀造的葡萄酒中(Mourvèdre)葡萄占30%,因此具有極佳的陳年潛力。(Mourvèdre)丹甯含量高及抗氧化特性,讓葡萄酒能長期陳放。

The 2013 Côtes du Rhône Coudoulet has a crisp, crunchy feel in its black cherry, pepper and mineral-laced style. There’s good richness and depth here, but it’s a more linear, focused and structured Coudoulet that will benefit from a year or two in the cellar.

Starting the reds, the 2012 Cotes du Rhone Coudoulet de Beaucastel looks to be an outstanding example of this cuvee. Showing plenty of black cherry, mineral, cracked pepper and underbrush, it is medium-bodied, possesses great acidity, and gains in both richness and depth in the glass. While most Cotes du Rhones drink best in their first 4-5 years of life, this cuvee can age well past a decade. Drink now-2022.

Tenuta IL Poggione是義大利Montalcino產區最主要的酒莊之一,由Lavinio Franceschi成立于19世紀,位於Montalcino南方約10公里之Sant’Angelo in Colle。

現在的酒莊掌舵人是Franceschi家族的Leopoldo 和 Livia,他們採用Sangiovese的新Clone,傳承先輩的傳統風格和本土特點,採用最新最前沿的的技術工藝,但產品仍然會用傳統方法和理念進行生產。

Tasting Note; Il Poggione is a Brunello superstar and a vintage like this reveals every reason why that affirmation is true. From the second the 2012 Brunello di Montalcino pours into the glass, you know you are in for something special. The wine is darkly saturated and rich in appearance. Absent are those slightly amber or browning hues you often get with Sangiovese in a hot vintage. Nor does the wine show flat or tired characteristics. Instead, the quality of fruit is vibrant and rich. This is a healthy, generous and exuberant Brunello with dark density and succulent fruit flavors that are followed by integrated spice and tobacco. The balance is impressive and one thing you get here is fresh acidity. This is not to be underestimated, because the acidity quota in the 2012 vintage across the appellation is not as high or evident as usual. This is one of the year’s best Brunellos.

Tasting Note; Il Poggione has done a terrific job with its 2011 Brunello di Montalcino. The wine is soft, yielding and charged with a velvety and smooth texture. It is deeply redolent of dark berry, black cherry, spice, leather and tobacco. The wine’s sunny personality never feels flat or too dense. In fact, the wine offers a very tight and steely backbone that gives the wine stature and strength. This is one of my favorite Brunellos from the 2011 vintage.

La Rioja Alta成立於1890年,是西班牙傳統名莊。同時也是國際上享有盛譽的幾個西班牙葡萄酒品牌之一。

“La Rioja Alta屬於老式經營酒廠,主要生產Reserva和Gran Reserva,唯一屬於Crianza等級的Vina Alberdi其實也是Reserva等級的酒。Vina Ardanza是最具代表性的酒款,在橡木桶陳年36個月; 2008年裝瓶 到 2012 十月份才發售 / 歷時八年 ; 這是講究傳統的 Rioja。有木香和成熟果實的複雜裡奧哈經典風味。兩款Gran Reserva:904經過四年木桶,約是十年左右出廠,890更是六年木桶約十二年後才出廠,兩者都是非常典型老式,但僅在極佳年份才推出。890喝起來不濃,也更多酸,更加精巧。” - 林裕森

Tasting Note ; Cedar, tobacco and spice hints frame dried cherry, berry and vanilla notes in this silky red. The flavors mingle nicely, framed by juicy acidity and light but firm tannins. The wine has a lovely, weightless intensity. A fine example of the traditional style. Drink now through 2020.

Tasting Note; The 2007 Viña Ardanza Reserva is a blend of Tempranillo with 20% Garnacha, the Tempranillo from 30-year-old vineyards La Cuesta and Montecillo in the villages of Fuenmayor and Cenicero, and the Garnacha from old head-pruned vines at 600 meters altitude in Tudelilla, in Rioja Baja, from plots next to their Finca La Pedriza. Those should soon be mature enough to go into the wine (they were planted in 2004 and they will make it into the Ardanza blend from 2007-2008). The grapes are fermented separately with natural yeasts and the Tempranillo then matured in American oak barrels averaging four years old for 36 months, while the Garnacha matured in second- and third-use American oak barrels for 30 months. The nose is very fresh, with notes of beef blood, iron, cherries in liqueur, some subtle leather and spices plus notes of autumn forest and truffles. The palate is more lively and has some tannins that would feel better integrated with some food or a little bit of time in bottle It was bottled in November 2011. This will be released around September/October 2015, so by the time it hits the shelves it will be more polished. Great value for money.
