Tasting note: Here too there is a whiff of reduction though here it’s sufficiently subtle to still allow the spicy and overtly floral nose of red cherry, plum, sandalwood and a hint of exotic tea to be appreciated. There is both fine richness and energy to the beautifully textured and delineated middle weight flavors that possess a satiny mouthfeel while delivering excellent length on the impeccably well-balanced and superbly long finish. Like the Chambolle villages this is a relatively powerful incarnation of this wine as it’s less fine than usual though still most impressive in its fashion.

Tasting note: An exceptionally floral and wonderfully elegant nose presents notes of cool and airy high-toned red berry fruit along with plenty of spice and a hint of sandalwood. The medium-bodied flavors are at once silky yet powerful with really lovely underlying tension while delivering terrific length on the beautifully delineated, mineral-driven and harmonious finale. This is quite simply drop dead gorgeous.

Tasting note: Relatively strong reduction gets in the way of a proper evaluation of the nose. By contrast there is a superb sense of energy and strikingly good detail to the penetratingly mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors that display an incredibly refined and ultra-pure mouth feel on the deeply complex and gorgeously persistent finish. This is a thing of beauty and textbook Amoureuses.
