Note: a villages level wine from 65+ year old vines
Tasting note: Once again there is evident wood though I stress that it still remains a background element on the slightly more deeply pitched and a bit less elegant aromas of plum and pretty spice nuances. As is usually the case there is more volume and richness to the punchy but caressing flavors that possess a lovely mouthfeel as well as just a touch more overall depth. Lovely.

Tasting note: Here the expressive nose is more floral still with its array of spice, wet stone and various red berry fruit scents. There is a slightly higher level of ripeness to the notably round and seductive medium-bodied flavors that deliver excellent depth and length on the ever-so-mildly austere finale. This suave yet precise effort should drink well young if desired.
