Bouchard Pere & Fils (寶尚父子園) 始於1731年，是布根地最有名的酒商之一，並擁有為數眾多的特級和一級產農田。長遠的釀造歷史讓其酒質不斷改進及提升，直到1995年，寶尚家族才將寶尚父子酒莊轉手給一個古老的香檳家族——漢諾（Henriot）家族。

La Romanee是勃艮第夜丘(Cote de Nuits) Vosne-Romanee村中的6家特級園之一，毗鄰於Richebourg和Romanee-Conti特級葡萄種植園，位於金丘(Cote d’Or)的中坡段略靠上端。原隸屬於天下第一園 Romanee Conti 。

Bouchard La Romanee Grand Cru Monopole 2001 傲視群雄的La Romanee 獨佔田， 是布根地最小的Grand Cru乃至全法國最小的AOC產區，位於天下第一園 Romanee Conti的上方，占地僅0.85公頃，年產僅300箱， 這個特級園由 Liger Belair 家族中的 Vicomte Liger Belair 獨家佔有（Liger Belair家族中另外還有一分支Thibault Liger Belair 擁有Richeburg 等田）. 每年的La Romanee釀好後會由自己家和大酒商 Bouchard 對半分， 分別裝瓶和貼牌銷售，這種情況延續到2005年，2006年開始，少莊主中止和Bouchard的合同，全部酒都由自己裝瓶銷售.

Tasting note: Surprisingly forward and expressive for young La Romanée with incredibly concentrated, smoky, slightly oaky, spicy black fruit aromas that lead to velvety, dense, tight, understated, broad scaled flavors of stunning length. The depth here is nothing short of mind blowing and this is clearly a notch up from the 2000 if not quite as promising as either the ’98 or the ’99. Still, with the astonishing level of extract, this could conceivably surprise on the upside.
