酒質說明:為生產精美的Marchese Antinori,在葡萄還沒成熟時,已先把部份葡萄剪掉,讓最好的葡萄成熟,然後將葡萄汁連皮在5000公升的木桶中和不鏽鋼桶中發酵大約15天後,再轉到225公升的法國橡木桶中乳酸發酵,最後放進木桶中陳年14個月後裝瓶,在瓶中再陳年12個月後才上市。此酒帶著深紅寶石色澤,非常的鮮明的櫻桃香味、些許的石榴果香及淡淡的香草香,口感飽滿豐富,具有深度的結構,令人印象深刻。

紅葡萄酒是由90% Sangiovese+ 10% Cabernet Sauvignon及其他品種釀制而成,這是精選自經典Chianti最好的Sangiovese。其呈現出紅寶石的酒色,氣味濃郁,有漿果、皮革的味道,酒體醇厚、典雅,餘味悠長。

My notes for the 2008 Chianti Classico Riserva Marchese Antinori from a blind tasting read “reminds me of Tignanello.” Thankfully, I was not too far off! The Riserva Marchese Antinori includes 10% international varieties in addition to the Sangiovese, which does make it the wine closest to Tignanello in the Antinori lineup. The 2008 is a big, broad shouldered wine with dark red cherries, tobacco, licorice and herbs in a medium to full-bodied style supported by vibrant tannins and mouth watering acidity. The Riserva Marchese Antinori shows terrific length and balance through to the dark, authoritative finish. Despite an international leaning, this is without question a Sangiovese-based wine. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2029.

The 2009 Chianti Classico Riserva Marchese Antinori (Sangiovese with 10% Cabernet) offers a different interpretation of the appellation with a deeper color and extra concentration. There’s a sweet chocolate note on the finish that is contrasted against savory tones of dark spice and tobacco. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2022.

The past 12 months mark one of the most exciting times in the long, long history of Antinori. Marchese Piero Antinori and his daughters inaugurated their monumental winery in Bargino, about 20 minutes from Florence in late 2012 after a series of last-minute preparations and sleepless nights. Winery doors officially opened to the public in 2013. It would be impossible to exaggerate to grandeur of this sprawling, multimillion-dollar underground edifice. Angelo Gaja told me at the opening that Antinori’s new winery is the most revolutionary event in modern Italian wine. I agree. With a museum, restaurant and tasting area, it represents Italy’s most ambitious effort yet to make wine the ultimate destination.
