Perfumed berry, rose, fragrant blue flower, tilled earth, baking spice and a hint of new leather are just some of the aromas you’ll find on this dazzling red. The polished, structured palate is loaded with finesse, delivering a wonderful depth of flavors including raspberry, dark cherry, licorice, mint and white pepper. Vibrant acidity and firm, refined tannins provide impeccable balance. It’s still young and will develop even more complexity over the next 10–15 years. Drink 2020–2035

Outer quote mark This isn’t just a great wine for what was a notoriously cool, wet vintage, it’s quite simply a magnificent wine. Perfumed and loaded with finesse, it opens with scents of woodland berry, iris and baking spice while the vibrant, balanced palate doles out Marasca cherry, dark culinary spice, crushed herb and menthol. Refined tannins and fresh acidity provide the taut framework while a licorice note wraps around the finish. Gorgeous.

Woodland berry, blue flower, sunbaked soil and a whiff of dark spice shape the nose. Structured and extremely elegant, the focused, impeccable palate doles out juicy red cherry, strawberry, baking spice and star anise set against taut polished tannins that provide seamless support. It’s well balanced, with fresh acidity. It’s already tempting but hold for even more complexity. Drink 2022–2032.

Tasting Note; A combination of savory and fruit elements, this red reveals cherry, berry, eucalyptus, menthol, tar and mineral flavors. Firms up, with monolithic tannins locking this tight. Patience is required. Best from 2023 through 2042. From Italy.

Gaja歌雅酒廠由Giovanni Gaja先生創立於1859年,自創立至今已流傳四代,目前由Giovanni Gaja先生的曾孫Angelo Gaja先生管理(被喻為:義大利酒廠教父),而Gaja歌雅家族也持續為了釀造出高品質的葡萄酒而努力 

 

1961年時,現任酒廠總裁Angelo Gaja先生正式進入家族事業,並專心致力於葡萄的種植與品質控管上。

直至今日,Gaja歌雅酒廠在Piemont擁有包含位於Barbaresco與Barolo 法定產區中共250英畝的葡萄園,幅員遼闊,風景優雅,品質更是精良不在話下。Gaja歌雅酒廠也力求精進,除了盡心照護美麗的莊園,也著眼於釀酒技術與品質的管理,並期許能以最嚴謹的方式釀造出獨一無二的極致典藏。
